Backing up Windows NT/2000 server onto ext hd

Hey guys, how would I go about backing up my Win NT server onto an external hd? Any step by steps?

I'd probably go with a bootable cd with Acronis TruImage or Ghost (or insert your favourite disk backup program name here) that will support a USB or Firewire drive. I use HDClone since it has a bootable cd image and will read from and write to external usb drives.

I absolutely love Acronis, it is well worth the cost. Think about what you are backing up, a server. Is a server not worth $49?

However if you must go free, I have used CloneZilla a couple time without having any problems with it, however I greatly prefer Acronis or even the Norton Ghost 14.
