After my latest reformat, my Audigy 2 decided to go invisible and start not getting detected. The drivers for it said they cant find any creative stuff, and closed itself. Doesnt show up in the device manager. Worked perfect before this format... any ideas?

Remove the card from the system.
Boot the system to the windows desktop without the card in it, shutdown.
Stick the card back in boot up and see what you get.

Sometimes the edge connectors on the card get oxidized and removing and re-inserting the card will clean the crap off just enough for everything to work fine again.

I just wiggled it around a bit and that seemed to do it, works fine now. Was way too lazy to take it out. Thanks. :)

WTF... all you have to do is wiggle it around? I have had the worst troubles with my card when i reformatted, I googled and it seems like a lot of people have this problem, too.

Just in case something craps out:

Download the driver file (exe),
Open it with WinRAR or other archiving software

Extract all the files to a convenient place, and use Windows to search for the driver itself.

(or use the Ctzapp.exe to install the drivers)

Fixed. ;)

Could you add that to the faq creation thread so it will be overlooked another 9999999999 times? :p
