Audigy 2 ZS Platinum - Please Help!

So I installed this sound card 6 months ago with the drivers and softwares that came packaged in the box. Everything installed perfectly fine.

Now, I removed the card and installed it into a new desktop. I had to download drivers and software from the sound blaster website, and everything installed fine.

Only problem is, the max volume is kind of low. For example, when I use winamp, I can max out the volume on the sofware, then I can max out the volume dial on my speakers, and finally, I can max out the volume on the PC -- and yet, it's not as loud as it should be. The volume is distorted but still bearable. Under normal circumstances, it should be extremely loud.

Any suggestion guys? I'm all out of ideas.

all the creative volume controls are on max, including wave,midisnyth, cd audio? What about speaker volume controls(the one that controls the volume of each individual speakers ie. left, right, center,)
