My computer is hardly new but I'll tell you what I have anyway.

It's a gateway essintial

P3 500MHZ slot
Don't remember what mobo

1 IBM 20gig deathstar
1 WD 8MB cache 60 gig
1 120mm fan
1 Pioneer DVD rom
1 Plextor CD-RW
1 Floppy
A Nvdia TNT2
1 3-com 56K modem
1 3-COM NIC
1 Creative sound card
Mandatory keyboard and mouse
Joystick and game pad

These all draw power from the PSU, which is a 200 watt generic one that came with the essential 4 years ago. I've never had a problem at any time, ever.

Informative post. I'm going to be getting a new power supply to replace my current 'in case of emergency' 300Watt power supply finally. Migrating to Athlon 64 is something I'm considering.

The Athlon 64 probally uses more power than a normal Athlon Xp.

Wouldn't that make the 3.3Volt line more important than on an XP system, or am I thinking wrong?
