I honestly just picked that article out of a hat. I suppose I should have vetted the article. That being said, their take on it is completely superfluous to the facts.

The point is that Intel is releasing SKU's in direct response to AMD releasing Ryzen.

That is a good sign for consumers.

Intel releasing new SKUs because of Ryzen is a good sign.

There is no way that Intel does not have chips in house and doing extensive testing.

A little bit of panic at Intel is good news for us.

Its LGA2066 chips and its called Kaby Lake-X. Its been on the roadmap for quite a good time and it will be released together with Skylake-X. So sorry, no panic.

I've got a 5820k running around 4.5Ghz...I don't see any reason to upgrade right now. Maybe next gen.
