I have an Intel brand board, with a 965 chipset, and a Pentium D 820 stuck in it. When I check the BIOS, it reports the FSB at 800Mhz and the memory at 533 Mhz.
Since I know the memory is not running an actual 533 Mhz, and the FSB is not actually 800 mhz, I do the math, diving both by 4 (2 for dual-channel, 2 for DDR) and get FSB at 200mhz and memory at 133Mhz. There does not seem to be a way in the BIOS or via a jumper on the motherboard that allows the memory and FSB to be synchronous. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I emailed Intel tech support but they just sent me an email back saying if I want to run my memory at 533 mhz that voids the warranty. They're stupid.
