Asus V9999 Gamer Edition GeForce 6800 AGP 8X 256MB

looks like a nice card, but it's a vanilla 6800 with 12 pipes.

The 6800GT is a better deal for $20 less unless you want:
"1. Free Webcam (300K resolution)
2. Deus Ex: Invisible War
3. Battle Engine Aquila
4. Gun Metal
5. 6 in 1 Game Pack
6. ASUS DVD XP
7. Media Show
8. ASUS Driver and Utilities"

naw, the only thing on the list worth anything is Deus Ex: Invisible War and you can get that for $20 off ebay. :p That would be a decent bundle for $349, but not $419.

It's known that the Asus Gamer Edition is just a nu (12 pipes) with more RAM. It could technically have all 16 pipes but the remaining 4 are shut off (can you say soft-mod =D).

Anyway, it's a decent card but for a little more you can get a real GT, minus the nice looking ASUS fan ;)

How can they sell that for $419 when you can get a eVGA 6800GT for $399? What was Asus thinking making a 256mb nu.

Fry's has the LeadTek 6800NU for $329 this weekend through Tuesday. It comes with Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow, Prince of Persia, Gun Metal and Big Mother Truckers. Sorry, no cheesy webcam, but it has a pretty big cooler on it. :p

If it's softmadable that would make it a damned enticing deal.

yea would be a great deal if it wasn't selling for as much as a GT costs...no point when it goes for $419
