Building a new rig and am debating these two boards. Will be running 9700K with a Noctua NH-D15 trying for 5GHz all core, with Corsair LPX Vengeance 32GB DDR4-3200 (2x16). Use case is gaming, nothing else. Reason I am looking at these and not cheaper/basic boards:
1) 5 fan headers so I can use Asus Fan Xpert to control fan curves based on temperature
2) USB type-C
3) Decent OC ability to increase chances of 5GHz all core for gaming
I can get the TUF for $20 less than the Prime, but it seems the TUF doesn't have type-C at all (rear IO or front panel connector). Both have 5 fan headers and same onboard audio and what I assume is same quality power delivery, so really it comes down to $20 for type C then unless I am missing something?
