We have referred, more than once, to the "Frag Harder Disco Lights" being a bit much on many of today's motherboards. ASUS is putting forth a newer more demur and elegant approach with its new ROG Maximus XI Formula Z390 motherboard. Gone is the garish approach utilized so often, and we get more of a Tron-esque feel. It however is a fingerprint magnet. Pic and video. This new Formula has a 2" LiveDash OLED display, that can display, CPU clocks, temperatures, and even custom logos. All this comes at a hefty price however. During the power-on, self-test (POST) phase, LiveDash shows key progress stats in simple language and via traditional POST codes. Then, during normal operation, the panel shows a choice of CPU frequency, device temperatures, fan speeds or information from the Water Cooling Zone. You're even able to customize the default LiveDash GIF, so that it'll display your own image or animation.
