Tech from Asus just emailed me about problems I have been having with instability in booting and poor signal quality.
I was told Asus is in the process of revising the card with a new chip that is compatible with Z87.

I had it paired with a Gigabyte Z87X-OC MB for about a week and when it booted and worked it worked great but most of the time it made my system unstable.
