I was going to ignore the fact that the Acer X34 is over $1100US and possibly explain to my wife why I need one. How about the ASUS PB328Q? Its 2" smaller, has a very nice VA panel. Doesn't have Gsync and it maxes at 75Hz and its not curved. (It is under $500US!)
Will I end up disappointed and wonder why I just didn't bite the bullet on the 100hz X34?

I'm upgrading from a 27" I-INC 1920x1200 60hz which I've had for 5 years or so.

Worth it? Or just keep my current monitor? I am a gamer..WOW, Planetside 2, other FPS games. Want a great experience..I am not a pro-Egamer who needs a 144hz monitor. (or do I?)

Thanks for the info.

You don't HAVE to be a pro gamer to enjoy the benefits of 144hz. I'll take 144hz over a disgusting 60hz any day. If you want sheer size then I guess the X34 is the way to go. Otherwise if you want great ppi and motion clarity and don't mind a smaller size the Dell S2417DG is quite badass.

Get the x34. If you dont like it you can sell it here and get the Asus monitor.
