Asus P8P67 Video Card Question

Hey All,

Can I temporarily run my old BFG 7800GT PCI x16 in my Asus P8P67? I believe it is backwards compatible but I just want to make sure before I fire it up.

Listed as XP card, so check on line for drivers for (Windows 7 ?).

Keep in mind that the last official WHQL driver version to support the 7800 GT is the 306.97 set (though the older pre-CUDA GPUs such as that 7800 GT work better with 100- or 200-series drivers than 300-series drivers). Starting with the 310-series drivers, hardware CUDA support is required to even install the newer drivers.

Ty guys. I'm sorry I didn't post back sooner. I ended up just running to Micro Center and buying a cheap card and tossed the 7800GT in the garbage
