ASUS P8P67 series Double POST at Cold Boot Fix

300 is fine, the lower you can make things at same O/C the better you are situated

I grew up in the streets of NYC (Bed Sty) and never give anyone the benefit of the doubt. Thats for peeps who come from Wisconsin or Iowa or Minnesota

heh

I'm still having this problem as well with the latest bios from ASUS. This fix did not resolve the problem.

try declocking to 4.4
using AI suite?
try unplugging BRD
Every bios they change defaults for "auto" C-states and speedetep
Try switching them on and off - do not select "autos"
Spread spectrum ENABLED? BCLK 100.0?
XMP profile in bios
Not booting to drive, controller OPROM MUST BE OFF
C-states still work with EIST disabled
ALL Unused controllers in BIOS OFF!!! Nothing plugged in - disabled!
APM poweron by PCIe
Some voltage you set too extreme for normal boot
May have to do full CMOS reset after change - PSU unplug/battery out 30 min.

i updated BIOS to latest version(1104)...and still when power up PC it goes ON then OFF and then ON again then works fine... i have ASUS P8P67 LE motherboard and Intel i5 2500k 3.30GHz proc...tell me whats wrong pls ? :S

Just wanted to say that enable "power on by PCI-E" solved the cold start issue.
I actually updated the bios first and was still having this problem, I thought I had a faulty board, but that couldn't be the case because I can turn the system on after switching off then on on the PSU kill switch.
SO even after bios update 2103 it doesn't fix the problem, just enable power on by PCI-E, like it says in beginning of this thread.

My rig:
2600k
p8p67 (bios 2103)
gts 250 (gtx 580 getting rma'd)
patriot wildfire 120gb
PNY 6gb ram
