Ok, so basically I have the so called great P5ne board paired with a Q6600 G0 stepping. I unlink memory and CPU and up the CPU from 1066 to 1200MHz FSB. RAM is still @ 667MHz. CPU voltage is 1.43 and it won't POST anything past 1200MHz. This is only 2.7GHz on the CPU. What gives? I also upped RAM volts to 2.1, northbridge to 1.57v. What else do I need to do? I believe I once tried 1.45v on the CPU and it still couldn't POST past 1200Mhz fsb.

I am running a stock cooler, but even if it can't cool it well enough, it should still POST, right?

Even though I'd assume the CPU will hit 400*9, you should up the FSB slowly and only up the volts if you have to.

It won't even post at 1205MHz FSB... are my volts not high enough? You saying I need even more volts?

Nvidia board is hit and miss with Quadcore cpus. I bet its your board that is holding you back. If you dont need SLI, no reason at all to buy a nvidia mb.
