Asus marketing hype?

According to the ASUS rep on Facebook the [H] has a board on hand for review. So I guess we will see soon whether or not it's all fluff.

I guess it would depend on if the contacts of the associated pins actually do anything. It seems strange that Intel would spec the 2011-3 for the pic on the left, if the missing pins actually had a function. Maybe they just add better contact for powering the chip, better conductivity maybe.

Apparently Intel used those pins for testing and such but did not spec them out for commercial versions. Asus seems to have figured out what they do and have allowed for bypassing of the FIVR to allow for more voltage and overclocking headroom. Testers in various places have amassed some pretty amazing OC using the new socket.
