Asus G73 weird DVD / Bluray problem ?

Ok so I have the Asus G73JH that I bought for my son. I'm really confused because every review I see of the G73JH-A1 has a Blu-ray drive. Though the drive says DVD Multi RW on the side but it says BD Rom Drive in my computer. I don't have any software to play Blu-rays but when I put in a Blu-ray movie it tells be exactly what the movie is and how big it is. I can also browse the files on the disk .

Does this mean I actually have a Blu-ray even though it says DVD on the side ?

Also is there any good free Blu-ray player I can download to test ?

some people originally had the dvd drive in it then upgraded to a blu ray drive while still using the g73jh dvd bezel. you probably have one that was upgraded

Thank you HaX I went ahead and bought Power DVD 12 and it's playing Spider Man 3 Blu-ray just fine =)

That means I got a better deal because he said it was only DVD =)

that's exactly what I did with my vostro 3450. Installed a burner and used the DVD bezel that matched the machine.
