3930k with 32gb of ram a 250 and 512 gb ssd and currently a 960. I use this for gaming but what i really wanna do it take it home and play it on our 120hz 1080p tv. I'm excited to try RE7 and its DLC'sas well as playing OW in in buttery smooth 120hz would be real nice.

Still using my 2013 system, wow, that old!!

PC
Intel Core i7 4770K @ 4.2ghz, Corsair H100i
MSI Z87-G45
Gskill Sniper 16GB 2400mhz
MSI AMD R9 290, Corsiar HG10, Corsair H55
Samsung 840 EVO 250GB raid 0 (OS), Samsung 850 EVO 500GB (Games)
Corsair HX650
Corsair Air 540
Windows 10 Pro

Peripherals
Asus VG248QE
Corsair Sabre
Corsair MM300
Corsair K70
Logitech G35

Games I'm looking forward to the most, all FPS games. Prey, Red Dead Redemption 2, Rising Storm 2: Vietnam, Quake Champions, Insurgency: Sandstorm. On top of that I'm sure I will still get in 100's of hours of CSGO! Don't let the FPS drop!

Here is my current rig!

AMD Phenom II X4 840
MSI 870-G45 motherboard
16 GB DDR3 G.Skill RAM
Radeon 5770 HD 1GB
some corsair hand-me-down water kit

about all its good for is CSGO on low :(

20170410_132844.jpg

I'm most looking forward to playing Player Unknown Battlegrounds and getting more than 8-13 frames per second!! Infuriating:mad:

Other than that Crysis 3 and the new Mass Effect: Andromeda

I'm looking forward to playing BF1 at higher than "low" settings and Battlefront II later this year.

My current rig. I love the Silverstone FT05 case, but it has got to be one of the worst to cable manage. I must have used 100+ zip ties and gave up one of my spare SSD slots to pull off a clean look. The Asus P8Z68 Gen3 has kept my i7-2600k at 4.5ghz stable for 5+ years.

NaVk6Smh.jpg

Here's what it takes to wire this case cleanly:

2SPhniKh.jpg

And here she is all buttoned up. I will happily replace the EVGA poster if ASUS can get me something better than this EVGA Nvidia GTX760 in my current rig. ;)

Here is my old girl. The bones of this machine went together in the fall of 2011, my Athlon x2 machine finally bit the dust, I was a sophomore in College and I couldn't afford anything fancy. I bought a standard Gigabyte UD3-970 motherboard, an Athlon x3 Rana (that core unlocked to 4 cores) and 8 gigs of ram. The Power supply is the same PC Power and cooling Silencer 750 watt I bought in 2008. I've upgraded from a 8800gt, to a Radeon 7850, to a 970GTX all on this same core system. I've added SSD's and more 1tb black drives through the years. It still runs great, but alas It's time to tear down the structure, and build anew. A GTX 1070 or 1050 would be a great addition to a new build!

My first machine i put together with my brother in 2004, it used an ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe motherboard and an Athlon 2000+ CPU, with a BFG 7800GTX that I won in a Counter Strike tournament. Eventually, my brother took some components, I took some components, and we built our own machines from them. He took the motherboard and processor and ran with it until 2012. You buy Asus, you buy quality!

A contest eh? Well let my...
1978(ish) Bonneville heatercore topped case,
watercooled full steam ahead since 2005 with this dinosaur,
housing a gtx770 purchased from my friend whos testing gas turbine engines in Florida this month,
running the ASUS Maximus Gene VI Z87 motherboard (tell-tale red traces lit up, some by the IO panel),
with a 4690k chugging along both sourced off the FS/T forums.
Round that all out with a classy set of ATH-A700 headphones.

wW8LJos.jpg

New card would aid my effort to git gud in Dark Souls 3, and maybe a little Dota 2. Can't stand getting kicked off into the abyss by some skeleton so I could use any help I can get.

Then again Quake Champions beta weekend is kicking up again this weekend.. More FPS means more mid-air rocket kills on reflex flying through some space ruins. Who doesn't want more of those?

You may not be able to see what is in there.. but it's an Asus Z270i and a 4.8Ghz 7700K! Asus rocked it with this board and it's sadly sporting a heater of a competitor's videocard that artifacts unless severely down clocked even after I replaced the cooler, a Craigslist bust so I'm stuck with it :( I'm hoping this Asus offering will win me over in the videocard segment as their motherboards have and serve my build the justice it deserves. I can't wait to play Playerunknown's Battlegrounds and Destiny 2 on this, as I'll be desperately needing the FPS it'll provide!

Just a plan old desktop box but with chilled water cooling so it has a few hoses running in and out it. So limited gaming but mostly computing simulations so the card would be a huge upgrade.

I'm mainly exited for overwatch, battlefield, total war and other games.

Old build here is getting rather tired. I don't play anything too intensive but struggling to raise the settings on what I do at the moment (mostly blizzard games).

This is an i5 650, 8gb ram, 240gb SSD, Radeon 270, etc.

There's a new build planned in my future (this old i5 can only last so long haha) and a quality video card would go a long way to figuring out how it will come together. The SSD I put in to replace the dead HDD is about the only thing worth carrying over. Exciting times!

Looking forward to playing some Star Citizen (loved the old Wing Commander games) and some Star Wars Battlefront 2.

Thanks to both Hardocp and Asus for a great giveaway, there will be some happy gamers for sure.

4670k, 8gb ram, and a GTX 760. Thank you for the give away. The two game that I am excited about is the game Prey.

My current computer is based on a X58 platform 6-core Xeon overclocked to 4.2ghz but only has a GeForce GT 730 GPU ever since my old Radeon 5850 died. The comp is currently under construction as I refresh my CPU water cooling loop.

I play Overwatch, Starcraft 2, DOTA 2, League of legends, CS GO, and am looking forward to trying out Diablo III. All of these games don't run smoothly on my 1080p60hz IPS current display panel, and I'm hoping to upgrade to 144hz at 1080p or 1440p in the future so will certainly need a GPU upgrade. Either of these cards would be one heck of an upgrade and greatly improve my gaming experience!

Okay let's see how lucky I am since today is my birthday. I really want to play the new Call of Duty: WW2 and Destiny 2. Hope I will win. I always wanted to try an ASUS GPU :3. Also I just built this PC and getting all my parts by Wednesday. It's my first self-built rig :O

Current rig in the sig.

I'm looking forward to quake champions (I got into the closed beta!), Unreal, prey, and half life 3 (we believe!).

My current card is the Asus 1060 the card is incredible. I'd love the upgrade so I can move one card to my htpc which has the hot and antiquated 550TI. The rig is old but a good little workhorse. Hopefully I can plan a new build soon.

I'm am currently working on building and doing extensive mods for my Ryzen gaming PC. Please forgive the state of the current images, still months of work to do on it.
Some of the games I would be most excited to play with a new video card would be Battlefield 1, Mass Effect Andromeda, Prey, For Honor, Dirt 4, and Star Citizen. I currently use the ASUS R9 290X but would love to upgrade to a newer ASUS GPU and monitor. First I will list the parts I currently have, and then the parts I plan to be adding as soon as finances permit.

Future Parts

I know, sad to see it in this state. It is just sitting on a shelf in a small desk. give me a couple months though and it is going to be awesome.

Still in planning stages for the case and it is completely ripped apart, but I am going with a medieval armor/forge theme. Pretty much dressing it in real steel forged armor I am crafting myself. And lighting will look like fire.

Hello, I am for the win

Edit: oh crap photos, I'll get those after work

In terms of games I've been playing the Quake Champions closed beta pretty much exclusively on the weekends

Before that I tried and bought overwatch for a while, which is fun despite the Q to win

I also recently bought Doom 2016 (half way through) was trying to finish Rage (half way through) and I bought the last Thief on a steam sale (havent even installed)

But I've probably put 48 hours into quake champions already

======================================================================================

Okay, so my setup isnt pretty and has been neglected for years, but it works darnit:

I even plugged in the lights for you (fan lights I leave on, has a switch for on off and maybe even colors I dont remember)

I also have a mosfet that goes into the HDD activity light that will blink the cold cathodes with activity, that isnt in there right now, but is pretty awesome when it's setup
3R2ntbS.jpg

How I normally leave it with lights unplugged (my cable management is a joke, I have like 3 harddrives in there as "temporary" that have been in there for a long time now
l2NYazo.jpg

And my FW900 CRT cause fuck gray to gray response times and poor contrast ratios and blacks
pFYiYja.jpg

It use to be water cooled, but having to refill periodically (fill port is under the case, so it must be put upside down, no Reservoir) was annoying *and* my 7970 was too long so I had to take the pump out and go air cooled
ZMQ6iNL.jpg

I will build a new PC as follows here in the coming months: (leaving the current build untouched, two pc's man, two)
Monitor: 4k Asus ROG Swift PG27UQ 27-inch
case: corsair 570X tempered glass
GPU: gtx 1080 ti
CPU: Ryzen 1800X
MB: TBD
16gb ddr4
SAMSUNG 960 EVO M.2 (pci-e not sata)
No optical drives, or any "big drives" only the M.2 ssd (which is like a ram chip)
Probably another g5 mouse and g15 style keyboard
Need to explore power supplies, thinking a platinum rated silverstone

Oh yeah, I still have a 3.5" floppy drive in there *and* it's working

Currently in mid-upgrade and going for an Asus Strix RGB black and white build with 7600k + m.2 ssd for less cable clutter :).

Just got a Dell gsync 1440p screen and my 1060 strugles sometimes :(

Planning on getting some custom cables from http://www.ensourced.net with a SF-600 for corsair while going with a Noctua L9x65 to open up mobo area more.

Looking forward to play Nier Automata and FFXIV:Stormblood would be sweet to play those on MAX \o/.

Currently rocking a i5-4590k + Asus z97I.

this is the HTPC. Pretty dated GPU...would love to upgrade and maybe introduce VR to my 2 sons when I can afford it next.
For games, looking forward to all the VR games, especially car racing games like Project Cars and get ready for Project Cars 2

I am most excited to play the next Total War Warhammer game. I loved the first game and the series for the most part. Makes me sad that my current video card does not allow me to enjoy the battles at full detail. If I win, I will have to finally upgrade my whole computer...

Stevie B's Gaming PC Dream MACHINE! (patent pending)

So I'm new to this scene (shout out to my good friend and long-time user of HardOCP! ~ You know who you are!) and I am about a few days away from making an order for a new build. A little while back I was forced into submission to buy an old laptop (via the people's elbow!) for school (they literally require you to have a laptop to write your tests) I have been itching to play Ark on EPIC mode (Le Intense Graphics). I'm literally building my Dream MACHINE (say it like you read it) around that game and that mode. I witnessed the mode on my friend's PC last night (GTX 870) and it was super nice, but laggy. They have already logged 400+ hours and it's time for this guy to catch up!

Here's the goods:

ASUS GeForce GTX 1070.jpg The One, the Only, the Alpha and the Omega, The ASUS GeForce GTX 1070 (Woot Woot) - COme on, let's SLI this baby!

ASUS Z170-DELUXE LGA 1151 Intel Z170 Motherboard.jpg Le Processor of Power - The ASUS Z170-DELUXE LGA 1151 Intel Z170 Motherboard (Becasue how could I put an ASUS card in anything other than an ASUS MB?)

So please, help me build my dream, so that I can finally get some sleep (yeah right - all-night Ark FTW)!

Seeing how my last card died and went to GPU heaven. ( freak accident ) And now my PC is going through
separation anxiety. I'd like to win this video card and fill in the empty spot in my PC's heart, so she isn't lonely
anymore.A sad PC is not a happy PC, and an unhappy PC does not work as good as a happy one.

Cool contest, my buddy told me about this forum, I was just thinking I wish there was a good place I can get help figuring out how to build a sweet rig, I'll definitely be looking around.

Excited to play some CIV, DoW, Ark, GTAV, Mad Max, Dark Souls, and maybe... one day... Star Citizen.
Cheers boys and girls,
Good luck!
