Asus customer support still in shambles?

My machine is still going strong, on its second motherboard. I'd purchased in early 2012 and at the time, Asus's reputation was, well, "less than stellar." Has anything improved in the last five years?
 
Nope. Now it's "a little more than less than stellar".

the last time I rma'd a 280x i had to do it twice because the one they sent me was defunkd. It was in my machine for 15 minutes after I got it from ups. the second time it took almost 6 weeks and 6 phone calls, but I ended up getting a factory sealed 380x. lol
