ASUS has pulled a welcome surprise for those of us with the P4C 800-E Deluxe by adding support for ASUS' Ai Booster utility to the 1021 BIOS update. The AI Booster utility is available via ASUS' Web site.
Ai Booster has actually helped me solve a rather odd stability problem that only occurred when running stock, apparently. My 12V line gets hammered rather hard (three IDE drives, CPU and system fans, and my AIW 9700 Pro tend to do that), to the point that system stability at stock clockings was iffy; however, a five percent FSB overclock (from 800 MHz to 847) actually increased system stability to the point where I am not rebooting after less than an hour (in fact, since the OC, I haven't rebooted once, and I'm past the point where I normally would). Any idea *why* this would be the case?
