Does anyone know if this is possible by default? or if theres some program I could download to map these two keys to back and forward in the google chrome browser.

Dont think thats doable in chrome. But you can hold the alt key and use the arrow key it work the same way. Just one extra button =)

Isn't there a mouse rocker addon/extension for Chrome by now? I think so...

/me runs off to check...

Yep, there's at least one:

https://chrome.google.com/extensions/detail/fgdpkdemlcfpimchpdklellonnhabbha

That'll allow you to use the two primary mouse buttons (Left click and Right click) to navigate:

Hold the Left button down, click Right = Forward

Hold the Right button down, click Left = Back

Been using mouse gestures and mouse rockers for nearly a decade now, it's way past second nature and whenever I have to use someone else's machine for whatever reasons and they're "stuck in the past" with actual Back/Forward navigation buttons on the browser or having to use keys on the keyboard, it's absolutely infuriating. ;)

That's why I use Firefox Portable and keep it on a USB stick with all the addons/extensions so I can take it with me, and everything just works.

Once you get acclimated to using mouse rocker navigation, you'll wonder what took you so long to do it. ;)
