Ubi cashing in again...."Wait for a sale."

Check out the video.

There is a lot to like but the bugs, and repetition even in the face of lack of collective puzzles really starts to drag it down in the end. Its front loaded for sure. And with a patch or two to clean up the combat a bit and this would be something I would rat [sic] a buy.

I personally have never bought an Ass Creed game to date so I might be biased.

I'm looking forward to playing it. Seems like it spawned from the Witcher to a degree and with any luck the day one patch they announced will fix a large chunk of the bugs.

Between this, Wolfenstein 2 and Stranger Things season 2 my weekend is looking pretty damn full.

I inadvertently own every single AssCreed game. They either came free with a some computer component, were part of some bundle of games or I found incredibly cheap (like around $5). I even have the latest one, as it came bundled with an Asus Ryzen board I recently ordered.

I enjoyed the first game until I was probably unlocking the last town and realizing it was all exactly the same, and having to remember how to do the awkward-as-hell combat mechanics, I gave up. I got part 2 after it was $6.99 somewhere and couldn't really get past the first few hours, being the exact same game only now I was an Italian wiseass....ugh. I skipped all the rest of them until I finally got to the one in Paris, and that was $9.99 and only so I could see it on PS4Pro, and I still haven't played it. This new one in Egypt looks interesting enough due to the change in setting.....so when it's $9.99 this time next- year, I'm all in.

Actually, wait, that isn't true. I bought the one that takes place in America, part III...that one I actually started to enjoy a bit but really never put any time in, it was the location that I thought was cool but I'd say I burned out after 2 or 3 hours, getting virtually nowhere in the game due to all the cutscenes.

....in hindsight I think what I'm saying is I really think the game concept is cool, but the implementation of the combat and such is always disappointingly dull and I lose interest after a few hours.

Kinda like the FarCry series after the first game.......they promise so much, they look like they should be these incredibly fun shooters....but they never actually are, IMHO.

I've always liked the AssCreed games. The story part, not the multi - that is trash. I have never paid extra for stupid DLC. I bought some single player story DLC but not stuff like skins or gear or multiplayer stuff. I skipped the story content that has 'alternate history' crap in I think AC3. I just really like the historical tales they tell, from all the different periods. I really loved the ship mechanics of Black Flag and am pumped for Skull & Bones! But to the point, I never give Ubi much money for their schemes, but I do buy the base games. I yell at CoD being the same thing every year, but I can say at least AC has a new fleshed out story every time which what I'm good with and why I buy AC every time and have stopped with CoD until it's in the bargain bin, and usually not even then.

My girlfriend is a huge fan of the series. She will no doubt tell me what she thinks of it. I played the first one and didn't get very far. The game just wasn't interesting enough. I own a lot of them as they have come with a bunch of video cards and things I've purchased. However, I haven't played any of them past the first game.

Graphically, Unity is still a better looking game in my opinion. This game is CPU limited on Core 0 (always at 100%), and apparently I found out, do not play it with SLI enabled.

saw Conan's clueless gamer, and thought what a buggy POS. Can't believe they pushed out this turd unpolished

Other than Rayman, I don't buy Ubisoft games anymore. I want to play South Park, but I'll wait for a massive sale if I have to deal with their tactics and Uplay. Not worth anything over $15.

Assassins Creed Black Flag is so worth. You should give it a try.

Yeah, that's my favorite AC game. Original was only a graphics benchmark and I haven't really played 2 and 3 and got Black Flag as a freebie with my video card or board. It really is a great game and one that came after is similar but not quite as good. I did get Syndicate but didn't get into it though. Can't wait to play Origins and screw the reviews :) Was a hard decision between Wolfenstein though, but not having finished previous I figured I may as well play that and get New Colossus later.

I own all of the AC games myself and black flag was probably the coolest one out of it.....

but their was one GLARING plot hole that I just couldn't ignore....I could get that he knew how to jump around (parkour) because he was on a ship jumping around as a pirate a lot. I can get that....what I can't get is how when the templars asked him to demonstrate his skills as an assassin he just somehow knew all of the techniques.

Granted, I absolutely loved the game, probably my favorite one too but when I came across this part....my face was contorted into a wtf expression for like 5 minutes. lol

My girlfriend is raving about how good this game is. I'll take her word for it.

Black Flag was my favorite as well, they could honestly strip every Assassin's Creed reference from it and I'd like the games just qs much if not more.

AC:O is shaping up to be pretty good in that regard as well. I am really liking it so far.

Yeah I just bough AC:O today and it got through downloading a few hours ago but I played shadow of war tonight, will play AC:O tomorrow night.

My brother said it is awesome as well, it seems to be getting good reviews all around, especially considering how no one seems to like the series anymore. I'm excited to play it!
