Armed Assault 2

The website for Armed Assault 2 (www.arma2.com) is finally live and includes some of the actual in-game shots from the Games Convention 2008 press kit. My favorite is this one.

This game is one I am definitely anticipating as I still enjoying playing the original ArmA.

On the website is shows Q1 2009 is the estimated release date.

Is it finally using a new engine? Or is it like ArmA was to OFP, ie exactly the same thing with new textures.

I believe they are redoing the engine. Some things they initially promised (e.g. dynamically destructible buildings) have already been shelved.
