Are these power specs enough for an 8800 Ultra?

Scroll down to specifications. Thats my PSU. I'm not looking for speculation, does anyone know for a fact it will not be an issue with an Ultra? I don't mind a GTX but for some reason there is a large disparity in the recommended power for a GTX and a Ultra. (28A for GTX and 34A for Ultra)

Thinking about picking up a GTX But I can get a Ultra for 560 at Microcenter apparently so I'm leaning towards that..But not if the PSU cant handle it.

I can't tell you for sure, but why not just get the OC2 version of the GTX? That is what i got, really happy with it.

The PSU will handle it just fine, if those specs actually hold up. It could propably even do gtxs or ultras in sli.

it barely meets the 12V recommendations for one Ultra so two of them wouldnt be a wise choice.

It would probably be enough but for $20 more you can get this.

Modular cables, highest quality power and built like a tank. My brother has the 520 watt version that powers an overclocked C3duo E6300 rig with 2 hdd's, 2 optical drives and overclocked SLI 640 GTS's. Theoretically, it's not SUPPOSED to work and he was prepared to upgrade his psu but depsite hours and hours of stress testing and 3dmark looped testing, it's rock solid.

Oh and I got an MSI ultra OC for $565 after rebate.

Uhm I already own the power supply im not going to be buying a new one :p I'm quite aware thats a very good PSU. But im changing cards, not PSUs and going to fit whatever performance I can into this PSU. Theres no reason cards even at the high end should require that much juice. They need to turn down the requirements going forward. Not turn them up. I just wanted to know if what I have now can handle the Ultra, if not I'll get a GTX maybe.

The combined 12v is right at spec for the ultra. Is the Ultra you are looking at OC'd? How much extra strain will it be going under? Are you overclocking any components?

it has 2 22amp 12v rails equaling 44amps, why would that be a problem? Thats more then enough.

If I do get the Ultra I would want to OC it (not much point to getting one if I cant) Nothing else is OC'd, no.

To the other guy: It says it totals 35A not 44A on the 12V at that link.

first of all you dont just add the rails together. also if you look a little closer it says Maximum Combined 420W (35A) right there in the specs. anyway the psu should be just fine.

EDIT: I see you figured that out while I was slowly typing.

Sorry, but that isn't realistic, at least not at this time.
