Did the first box (from my previous post) -- dmesg | grep Hardware.Error return anything or nothing? (just like before)
 
Wow. I didn't expect The Spanish Inquisition...

What that tells us is: if Node 0 has memory we do get an error report but if it doesn't -- we don't :-o

Looks like troubleshooting this further may take quite some time...
 
I'm finishing some TPC mods here (run-time NB clock and voltage manipulation), I'll have something ready for you tomorrow.

General issue is that we're just guessing...

What you may want to do in the mean time is checking how the other CPU behaves (also in 1P config) if you haven't done so already...
 
Strange thing , I installed the other CPU turned it on and installed the ram the same way as on the other CPU ram slots node things. I then redid all of what we did here

sudo ./TurionPowerControl -set ps 2 vcore 1.1250
sudo ./TurionPowerControl -fo 0

Once done, run:

sudo ./TurionPowerControl -l

to confirm 1.1250V on the CPU

And:

sudo ./TurionPowerControl -CM

to confirm all cores are in P-state 2 (Ctrl+C to interrupt).

Once confirmed, run FAH and see what transpires

and I am running fah6 full load 100% cpu usage that was 1hr 51 mins ago and it is still going.

Can you paste TurionPowerControl -l and TurionPowerControl -spec from the CPU you're running now?
 
I am actually running both cpus been running 5hr 27 mins so far

ok it just rebooted ran for 6hrs 16 mins.
On the loading screen there was a pile of repeated messages saying , failed to get errors messages, along with some ofther things but it was to fast for me to catch anything else.
 
Any MCEs/Hardware Errors in logs after this event?

It's theoretically possible that BIOS consumed them so they only flashed on the screen
and that's... it (nothing made it to logs).

Though I would expect BIOS to pause for F1 or sth in such situation...

I've got TPC done here. I'll send the instructions tonight...
 
it didn't show anything I did however redo this and now it seems t o show tofays date in the log files, I am now running fah8 -smp again and when orr if it crashes it show show the logs.
I think that why it failed last time is becasue I had updated to the newest Kernal a couple of days ago and then forgot that I actually did update the kernal lol.

Hey guys, I picked up some of these chips as well. I have been having some trouble with them as well.

If it would help I have a Tyan S8812 as well as a Supermicro H8QGi+-F that I was going to try all of these things on over the weekend. I can post the results here if it would be helpful.

Any MCEs/Hardware Errors in logs after this event?

It's theoretically possible that BIOS consumed them so they only flashed on the screen
and that's... it (nothing made it to logs).

Though I would expect BIOS to pause for F1 or sth in such situation...

I've got TPC done here. I'll send the instructions tonight...

would love to try this
 
Found a bug or two this morning, sorry. Got them fixed but work took over. I'll let you know.

1. Download http://darkswarm.org/tpc/testing/TurionPowerControl -- this is a binary, use it instead
  of original binary from now on. Make sure to chmod +x TurionPowerControl after downloading.

2. Power-cycle (power-cycle, not reboot) the machine

3. Run these (let know if you get any errors or anything looks suspect):

What we're basically doing here is slowing the NB down to 1800 MHz and bumping vcore (like before) and unifying configuration of all boosted P-states.

Dead_Things, I think first question will be -- what board are you running and what is your BIOS
version?

Next, I think that outputs of sudo ./TurionPowerControl -l and sudo ./TurionPowerControl -spec
along with >30s run of sudo ./TurionPowerControl -CM could shed add'l light on this (if you can,
use TPC binary linked above).

No clue what may be going on here.

You are lucky... I have not found any G43s that are stable yet.
To the point where later bioses exclude them.
 
I did the shut down actually added the ram back in and then fired it back up. after I did all of the commands and then the last one of

Hold on I think that I might have done a typo because after I restarted this thing I copied and pasted each one of your commands and this time it seems to be ok so I am guessing it was my fault that happened sorry about that.

was able to run fah for about 10 mins but system rebooted then locked up.
I rebooted after powering off then back on again . then redid t the same set of commands, but before calling final "-fo 0"

Ok, I'm running out of ideas....

How about... slowing the memory clock down to 533 (DDR3-1066) in the BIOS? (omit all TPC stuff,
go straight to folding) And, if that doesn't work, even lower to 400 (DDR3-800)...

well those didn't work SO I am guessing I am SOL :( I maybe should try another RMAed board I just don't like having to spend 20+ dollars to send the board back just on luck

Well originally I tried kingstonkvr1333d3s8n9 2 gb sticks , then I swapped them all out for crucialct12864ba13 1 gb sticks hoping that the swap would fix the problems which it never did lol
