Are pictures like this hand drawn?

if you had the patience and the know-how it could be done on paper using, markers, airbrush, etc...

but more than likely though it was done in 3D

you could also do it in painter or photoshop using layers

Not sure what you mean by Hand Drawn...do you mean on a Tablet, because I am sure its possible. People draw concept cars/architecture all the time. Takes a Shit load of patience but whatever.

But in the same vien, the pic you linked, makes me think it was 3D with a Toon/Drawn Shader slapped on it.

Thats what im thinkin, cuz those lines are way too good....The side angle one does look hand-drawn, but the suspension area cant be..
 
makes me wonder what they did to produce manuals/guides for planes and cars 20 or 30 year ago when they didnt really have the awesome 3D programs that we have now... must have been alot of tedious work
