At the moment, there are two I'm looking at, a "Ltd Edition King of Fighters Arcade Stick", apparently a collectors edition item, and a "InterAct ShadowBlade Arcade Stick". The game they'd be used for is Virtua Fighter 4: Evo (I have a huge desire to play it, but I can't really get into it with the control). They're both the same price, so which one would be better for VFE?

Or are there other sticks I should keep an eye out for?

Thanks

It's just like anything, it depends on how much you want to spend. Personally, we play all of our Dreamcast and PS2 fighters with MAS sticks. Those are $100 or more. You can wire your own together for cheaper if you choose to with great results. Also, you may keep you eye out for the Street Fighter anniversary sticks. Decent enough, but I don't know if any EBs or GameStops carry them anymore. They were $70 or so. Hori makes some okay sticks, but they are also pricey. Pretty much though, IMO, as the price goes down the "arcade feel" and quality goes down. If I had to choose, I'd say the Shadowblade. I've used the DC version long ago for MvC2 and it held up and played pretty well. You may end up liking those you listed, I know people that do, but I just can't get into them. Too cheap feeling and unresponsive.

Good luck though with whatever you pick. I hope you find something you like.

I personally used the X-arcade stick for all systems...great quality. It's a bit pricey though.

stay away from those arcade sticks you posted with pictures! steer clear, dont even let it cross your mind from this moment on. Those are gimmick sticks.

MAS sticks are ok if you like the american style arcade sticks that most arcades in the US use. I feel that MAS sticks are made to last, not for comfort.

I personally like the PS1 Namco arcade stick

Well, I'm not looking to spend alot of money on a stick, but I'm not looking for a super great one that emulates the arcades perfectly either. I just want one that works, and will last me a while.

I think I'll wait a bit and see what shows up (buying second hand), but for now I'm leaning towards the ShadowBlade.
