Apple Pencil with iPad - useful for making illustrations?

How useful is the Apple pencil if you mostly do vector graphics for illustrations and diagrams?

What software is used for that on the iPad, anyway?

Read up on the batteries dying if let sit too long without using/charging. Overpriced POSs if you ask me.

I have a 11” iPad Pro M2, and I can’t imagine using it without the Apple Pencil for anything that I do art wise.

If you do not do anything with design, the pencil is likely a waste.
