I've just read over the ipod article and while what they propose sounds like a first step in ipod theft there is also a serious problem. What if you go to a friends house one night and download a song for your ipod, you wouldn't be able to d/l it to your ipod becuase your ipod does not match up with the iTunes user info. Same excuse goes with "hey my internet just went out and I want this song" well don't try going to your mother's pc to get the song with this idea. IMHO once you've reported your ipod stolen then there is nothing more you can expect to be done.
