I'm glad that I'm still on my Samsung Galaxy S5. I'm on my second battery. Takes less than a minute to replace it.

I think the bigger issue is that they did not inform the users... the car analogy is actually a good one... because when the car goes into limp mode - a big ass light come on... the apple users were just left hanging - by design of course... to get you to upgrade... yes i just upgraded for this very reason and yes im am pissed off... upgraded to a note by the way.
You can't change the battery without voiding your warranty. We want you to buy a new phone. This isn't only an Apple problem, though.
Edit: Well, maybe the throttling part is.
I've said it over and over and over. Sealed batteries are an anti consumer design decision. This applies to both android and apple. There is absolutely no reason whatsoever all these phones couldn't have been designed to allow the battery to be removable. Perhaps if people would smarten up and stop buying phones like this, it would change.
