anyone played Fable yet?

Read EGM review looks like good times, only like 15 hours or something though =/.
weak for 50 bucks :(

I know my friend is totally into Fable - the main attraction for him is living a life inside a game, the choice between good and evil etc (I think he plans to be toally evil, mass murderer etc.). He is really looking forward to its release out here, he's been reading a heap of articles on it. I have to say the graphics look good, and the attraction of living a life, with a family, quests etc is makes the game really appealing to me. But he has the Xbox, and I don't. I'm interested to see how many people are actually interested in buying/playing Fable too.

It's supposedly at Electronics Boutique and Best Buy...heading out there right now to pick it up, so we'll see!

It's fifteen hours if you rush. You have the option of making it last 30-40, assuming you interact with everyone and explore for secrets. There is also the appeal of playing it at least twice just to see the different aspects of evil/good.

seems a lot like KoToR, yeah? (which is  in my book)

It's very much like KOTOR, actually...the battle-system is all real time though.

The reason that it's not as long as KOTOR are the warp portals. In KOTOR, you had to run everywhere on foot (Except for quick transport to your ship). In Fable, I believe there are portals that transport you quickly from place to place (Which I won't be using).

i've played it for about 3 hours i think, and it's locked up on me 3 or 4 times, erm, but as a game it's nice, fun, etc..i'm not very far into it and im taking all the quests i can at this point.

i picked my preorder at GameStop earlier today. i played it for about an hour and it seems pretty fun. the graphics are good. i wish you could go anywhere in it and you werent constrained to a set path... oh well... seems like alot to do... ill post more comments when i play it more...

Its a nice game but far from being the best Action-RPG. I like the freedom they give you but hate the small enviroments... I mean no free roam, its all fenced in and theres constant loading... Poeple bitched about Deus Ex 2 having small enviroments, Fable is far worse...

Played the game for about 7 hours now...doesn't live up to it's hype. It's still a good game, and worth buying.

Currently married to two women, and have about 19 more in line, but I have to buy more houses!

Damn... I enjoyed Deus Ex 2, but was sort of turned off by the small environments. If Fable is worse, then screw that. I'll just play KOTOR again (for the 6th time). :p

game crashed on me again, and this time i hadn't saved for quite awhile, arr.

Yeah you get some areas that have nothing but a path... takes 3 seconds to run through it just to load again... what a waste. If it only was like Drakan and had a huge open enviroment, could have been the best Action/RPG.
