Anyone flipped Dynamic back to Basic disk?

Have a need to do it...as I have a server running SBS2K....that I need to resize the C partition..taking some space from the D partition. Acronis Disk Server does not support dynamic disks...which this server is running.

Looking at this tool from the Win2K Support Tools....it's an unsupported MS tool

Hmmm, That's a nifty little trick. I tried it on my Win2k test server this morning and all went fine for me...

That's pretty cool. If it is so simple, why on earth doesnt Microsoft have it changeable in the GUI?

trying this on my home server tonight....gonna have to perform it on a clients production server soon.

I have only done this on test system. I find it easier to do a backup, clear the disk, create the partitions, and restore.
