Anyone else ditched SLI for single-GPU?

I've had 1440P, 3x 1080P Surround as well.


Currently using a GTX 980 on a single 144hz Asus 1080p and for me its my favorite setup in the last 5 years. No CF/SLI issues and no FOV/Surround Issues. It wasn't that it was every really that bad it was just it was ALWAYS something. Nothing ever seemed to just work first try.

Currently playing Dragon Age Inquisition and Far Cry 4 max details with the single GPU and very very happy with it.

I now have what sounds like the exact same setup as you. I have it all set up for 5760x1080, but I personally find gaming at that resolution more nauseating than anything else.

That's exactly why I find that advice to be the most non-sensical advice about GPUs...
