Anyone Check Out Silent Hunter 5?

Looks pretty good. I haven't played a sub game since Silent Service for my NES. I might give this one a shot if the price is right.
 
AAARRRGGHHHH!!!!!

I just remembered I bought SH 4, but never played it.

Now I gotta find / make time for it...
 
I'm all over this - but like most Silent Hunters, it's usually best to wait a patch or three before playing it.

Right now is the perfect time to play SH4. It's still pretty, and there are a ton of great mods to let you play how you want.
 
That looks incredible, I'm thinking I'm gonna be all over this.

Just not right away. Prefer to see what the gameplay is gonna be like first.
I mean it's pretty, but did they do something to frak it up?
 
I want the game but wont buy it due to the Ubisoft DRM crap. If it had an offline mode I wouldn't mind it.

lol yeah i bought SH4 as well never played it and still dont have the urge to play it.. was one of those impulse buys when i saw it in the store.. thought it looked cool but by the time i got home i didnt care about it anymore..
 
I was excited until I started looking into the details.

-Only Type VII boats
-Campaign only goes to 1943
-Ubisoft on-line DRM; you lose connectivity, the game pauses
-Videos show that defects/deficiencies that have been around since SH3 still exist

On the plus side, the developers have stated they are releasing tools to assist the modding community.
