We are running server 2019 + hyper-v
is there any solution to share the GPU with 8 vm's ?

unless you have a custom chip and software you can only dedicate it to one VM at a time via direct pass-through

I think AMD has a similar technology for their cards called MxGPU or somthing.

MxGPU, but doesn't include h264 encoding on the first gen hardware. Second gen supposedly has it, but I haven' seen one in the wild. Ever.

vGPU works for certain hypervisors as Kardonxt said - not sure if hyper-v is one of them.
 
i found that

and
nvidia virtual gpu manager ( Quadro vDWS ) (expensive licensing fee)
did the job
 
Does it work well? I have never had the chance to actually put a setup like this together. The clients always scoff at the GPU costs and licensing fees.

Amazingly well. I’ve watched full screen 1080P video from an airplane WiFi before with it; over vpn. (As a test. Not being an asshole). Just expensive.
