Are there any modern notebooks that have a track point mouse on them other than ibm and the hp compaq nc6000's?
I have tried touchpads before and they are inaccurate and clunky waste of space on notebooks :p

Also no wide screen

Nice find, that will probably be my next notebook upgrade :)

Any other ones out there?

a few Toshiba Tecras have them as well.

basically, look into any business laptop, and you might find them.

Most likely it's just in business grade laptops as they're trying to steal away IBM's user base, and need to keep a pointing system that will remain familiar to the IBM users.

oh, and Trackpoint > *

I get my IBM T23 later today and ill take pics of it next to a Dell D600. I havent used any recent laptops (used to have a IBM 701c) but IMO the D600 case is really cheap...like cheap plastic.
