So it's no secret that people buy big chunks of risers then Mark them up when they get them state side.

Would you guys be interested in doing a group buy so we can get the price down on these? I think I saw some on aliexpress for around $10 per but a minimum order of like 50. Yea it'll take a few weeks to get here but we'd be paying less than half of what they are normally. Hell we could even sell some to get the price down even further. I haven't looked anywhere else but if there's interest I will check and see if we can go even cheaper.

Edit: Just so everyone is clear, it would go like this. Once I have a commitment for 50 pieces, I'll send my PayPal addy to everyone. (PLEASE send payment as a gift so it doesn't actually cost me money to ship these to you) Once I get payment from everyone, I'll place the order and have them shipped to me. Then as soon as I get them, ship them to you all. Also, this is me shipping to you in the USA. If you're in Canada or somewhere else international, I don't mind shipping to you, but it's going to increase the price per cable.

If anyone has any concerns I have heatware under Bonksnp and have been running the Fantasy Football league in General Mayhem for the past few years as well as assisting with Secret Santa. I'm more than happy to take pictures, talk to you on the phone, read you a bedtime story, whatever.

Well damn guys, looks like this might happen. Best I've found so far is 50 pieces for $9.14/per cable shipped to the US.

I didn't take into consideration I'd have to ship these out to each of you so that might push the price up $1-$2. So lets just figure $12/riser? Would that work for everyone?

Also, Ill edit OP with interested parties so I can keep everything in one place.
 
I'm in for a few... I'll say 10 for sure.

But, ultimately I wouldn't mind replacing all of my risers with those USB ones (which would ultimately boost my order). I have powered 16x-16x cables already... I suppose they will do, but the USB ones look so much cleaner and more professional... and awesome.

Depending on the final price, I might also be tempted to take a few extra and sell them locally.

However, at this point anything over 10 would depend on the final price per unit.

Oh, and I forgot to mention... I'm Canadian, please let me know if you would have issues when it came to redistributing these things to me.

Right now it's looking like about $12/riser shipped to you. If we order a bajillion of them, I might have to double check on shipping, but I'm not here to make any money. If shipping ends up being cheaper than $1-$2 per cable, then I'll refund everyone the difference. I just want some riser cables at a reasonable price.

Edit: Carbon, I recently shipped a video card to Canada and it was like $50. :( I can check into it for you and see, but I'm guessing with at least 10 cables, the price is going to be similar.

Monoprice has cheap ass cables to the USA. Not sure about elsewhere. Maybe a viable alternative for some.

I didn't think it would be that much in shipping. So, I respectfully withdraw my request for right now. You still have requests for at least 50 on the table without mine. I'll make do with the risers I've got right now.

Carbon, np. I'm kinda guessing on shipping costs right now for the us and Canada is an even bigger question mark. I'll find out what the actual shipping cost would be (if you can let me know your zip code) and will let you know.

Heh... no worries... you know, actually after giving it a bit of thought, it's probably best if I don't buy right at this moment. I'm bad for making impulsive purchases of things that fall in the "nice to have" category and not necessarily the "need" category. Especially right now when I'm planning other upgrades and trying not to overwhelm my wallet at the same time. So, thanks much anyway.

Being a FS/FT vet... I'd highly suggest you price in the 2.9% + $0.30 fee that Paypal will cost or just take Amazon Payments. You MIGHT get in trouble with the boss for asking for gift payment, and if you get an influx of gift payments especially that say "For X PCIe riser order", Paypal will flag and close your account.

Anyway, I have to check my funds but I'll probably go for 5 anyway. I'll need them eventually.
 
Ok guys, after blade lets hold off on sending me money. I think a couple people I didn't account for sent me funds. Not at my pc right now but should be able to get a tally in about 30 min to an hour.

Are you fine if I just send $100 for goods and services? The extra $4 should cover the Paypal fee. I'm not sure why, but I have no "personal" under the "send money" tab to send as a gift payment. I only have two options : "I'm paying for goods or services" or "I'm sending money to family or friends".

The latter is "gift".
 
Payment sent for 5 (changed my mind about quantity). I paid with CC so I added $2.04 to cover the fees. Thanks.
