I have 280 bucks in gift cards and want an ATI AIW 9800 Pro. When are they gonna carry it? They don't have it now, last I checked.
 
2 problems. On the site it says "not available check back soon", and you can't use the gift cards I have online.

From what I'm reading, the Hauppage card is the way to go anyways for the TV tuner/capture part of it. I thought the AIW used hardware also, but other threads here seem to indicate otherwise. Dunno.
 
Just sell the gift cards to someone online and use the cash to buy it.

Go to your best buy and ask for customer fulfillment. I haven't checked but they may have it in there now. I do know they have the 9700 AIW in that system though.
 
Yeah, I suggest going with a separate tv tuner.

I have heard bad things about some of the troubles with the AIW series. Especially in the tv recording area, which is why you get the AIW anyways...

I have a leadtek winfast deluxe tv tuner and it works great.
 
don't get AIW it's not very upgradable...cuz when you upgrade the vidcard you gotta throw away the capture card too. which is why for this reason i recommend hauppauge along with it's great video quality
