Another infuriating windows quirk?

Windows seems to have an affinity for randomly relocating some of my audio files. They're always tracks that I've ripped from retail CDs. If I move any of them from the location to which they were ripped, windows may or may not move some of them right back, and recreate all necessary subfolders in the process. They were all ripped with WMP. (Yes, I own legal copies of every song and no, I'm not distributing them.) Has this ever happened to anyone else and do you know how to stop it?

Don't use windows media player to rip cds. Use something like CDex.
