android factory reset and carrier settings

Quick question, i'm getting conflicting information from other sources.

I have a Moto G that is balls slow since my lollipop update. Clearing the cache didn't speed anything up so the next step is a factory reset (reports says this works). So, if i do a factory reset will it remove my carrier settings or is all that saved on my SIM?

Unless you had to add some custom APN settings for your carrier or something odd in the first place, you should be fine. All the other carrier specific config stuff is kept on the SIM.

Carrier settings will not be reset. I have changed roms from official, to third party rooted, to obscure, and back to the OEM roms, never had it mess with my carrier settings.
