An alternative to the Promedia 2.1 and Altec 5021

Von Schweikert makes some nice 2.1 speakers... the sub may not extend as low as the promedias or the 5021 can though, as evident in the specs. However, it should sufficiently kill the two in midrange reproduction and highs.

Another confusing addition to the world of *higher* end multimedia 2.1 audio.

Its price isnt too bad... $129 or so. I would add a $100 sub to it (dayton) and be done.

That's an amazing set of speakers. I wonder if they sound as good as they look?

Trajectory of the thread is roughly 'wow!' -> 'hmm...' -> 'meh'. Final conclusion, they sound about as good as Klipsch 2.1s.
