I hope this falls under gadgets. If not, my sincere apologies.

Anyways, my father recently purchased the "Alive Chimpanzee" from WowWee (makers of robosapien and such). It didn't come with an AC adapter and says it needs one with 6 volts and 3.5 amperes.

I checked my local electronics shop and a couple major chains like walmart and the highest I could find was 1300 mA. Will this be sufficient? If not, what will be the consequences (sluggish movement or something worse like breaking the motor or catching the adapter on fire?)

Thanks for any help you might be able to provide in educating me on electricity. I couldn't find much searching the net about amperes.

*edit* here's the link to their website if anyone wonders wtf I am talking about. http://www.wowweealiveonline.com/

1300mA is 1.3 amps which is a little more than one third of the 3.5 amps that is needed. My guess is it won't work. Or would overheat and burn your house down.
