AMD TL - 60

I was looking around on the dell website, and the vostro 1000 comes with this processor, i'm usually all for intel, but i wanted to give AMD a try, what are the reviews on the processors, which to stay with and which not to.. Thanks for the help in the long run guys.

The tl-60 is basically a x2 3800 in your laptop, 2x512kb l2 cache, 2.0 GHz

its a nice cpu, but what do you want to do with this laptop?

moderate to light gaming ( blizzard games, wow, wc 3, starcraft ) no major system hog, internet. I'm getting it for the fire dept, i'll need something to do in our down time so though i'd pick up a pretty nice little system.

It will do fine for what you want to do. For light gaming, go with a moderately decent graphics chipset. It doesn't have to be anything spectacular, but get the best you can afford.
