This is great for those who missed the $317.99 deal from ebay.

Newegg.com has the AMD Ryzen 7 1800X for $299.99 + Free Shipping with promo code EMCBBBK24.

It also comes with some kinda free "Champions Pack" for Quake Champions.

Nice! I had the microcenter deal in my cart planning to head down there, but this will do. Thanks!

They also have the 1600x for $199, as does Amazon. It's been at $220-240 the last week or 10 days.

Amazon has the same price for the 1800x and a comparable price for the 1700x. Just purchased the 1800x. Been waiting for a Ryzen price drop!

I'm upgrading from an 8320 to an 1800x. While a big part of the reason is for research purposes (multithreaded software applications), I will see a significant boost in gaming performance as well.

I had a 8320@5ghz , the R7-1700 @ stock is faster, and by a-lot. Huge upgrade.

I was seriously considering just getting a 1700 and overclocking it. I just don't have the time or interest these days. I stopped water-cooling after I moved from my q6600 to the 8320. I have enough to deal with in lab with all our pump lasers and chips on water blocks. I just had to cleanup after a blow-out this past weekend.

I'm in the same boat... It's not easy finding benches that include 8300 chips compared to Ryzen but the ones I've seen show at least a 100% increase!
