AMD Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 18.8.1 Released

AMD has released new Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 18.8.1 video card drivers to address performance in new releases including Monster Hunter: World, World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth, We Happy Few, and Madden NFL 19. The drivers also fixed documented issues in Fortnite and Civilization VI. Especially important is a fix for elevated or stuck graphics and memory clock speeds while gaming if video content is playing on the system. Also fixed was a bug with Samsung HMD Odyssey VR headsets if used with a Radeon RX Vega video card. Last of all new Vulkan extension support was added.

Known Issues
Radeon FreeSync may fail to enable when playing Monster Hunter: World. Some games may experience instability or stutter when playing with FRTC and Instant Replay enabled. Radeon WattMan memory and frequency sliders may not list correct minimum values. Toggling performance metrics while gaming on a non-native display resolution may cause the game to scale incorrectly.

Time to image my x360 hp ryzen again and hope these drivers still support vega 8... so far 18.51 and 18.71 worked maybe the luck will continue

well the luck half crapped out. I could only do a force install on the drivers. However I tried manually installing the control panel. Yep it worked gave me a beautiful bsod when i tried to run Doom Vulkan. Had to restore from image. Now am running the newest driver with the 18.71 control panel. Typical AMD driver garbage...

I mean, the 2500u and 2700u are not in the support list. So it's not guaranteed to work. How is this AMD driver garbage? I'm still using 17.7.1, I'm not happy but nothing I can do.

If this doesn't fix my Fury X fan ramping up and getting stuck at 99/100% once every 3 months or so I'll be pissed but I've come to expect it. This bug was supposedly fixed over a year ago.

Please, just do us all a favor and buy an Intel / Nvidia laptop, you will be happier for it. On a different not, I have not tried these drivers at home yet but I also have not been playing any games in a while anyways.

Havent heard of that issue. I dont have that problem on my Fury.
