Amazon PSN Store unveiled.....game-changer?

Amazon had XBL games at one time for 360. Not sure why they stopped. Nice feature but wasn't amazing.

Until they actually have some deals, this isn't huge. Amazon has been selling download codes for PSN games for a while, the prices were almost always about the same as buying directly from PSN.

Game changer? Nope. Amazon had a XBL store for a long LONG time and it wasn't a game changer. Almost certainly Amazon's penned deal will restrict them from giving discounts on digital content that competes directly with the PSN store itself.

This was exactly how the XBL site functioned, and Sony would be stupid to let someone like Amazon sell their content for cheaper. It would devalue their entire PSN store. So, the Amazon store will be used as a "me too" alternative for consumers who are Amazon loyal and who want to purchase from there.

Let us not forget the entire PSN hacked, lost credit card debacle. Lots and lots of people do not trust Sony with their CC info, so using Amazon is a very nice alternative. But thats ultimately all it will ever be, an alternative .. another store. Good move IMO, but not a game changer at all.

This is my thought as well.
