how are these compare to WD 4TB black or even 2TB black. I'm weary of seagate still

I had one in a laptop when the first came out. For app launching, there is a definite speed boost. Same with boot times. But for gaming, large app performance and read/write, they are as slow as any other 5200rpm drive.
I also have a few Blacks running around: They are much faster for everything else. Thus, DO NOT BUY FOR A STORAGE DRIVE.

That said, I've been thinking of upgrading the boot drive on my HTPC from a 2tb to a 4tb, and this might be a perfect solution.

AT this point, I've read too many reviews that say in the VAST majority of uses (including gaming) dual/quad channel means precisely bupkis.
