Alienware Notebooks

What do you think about them?
Right now they have the Sentia series starting at $1675. Anyone heard anything good about them, has one, or will never buy one? I'm looking to buy one within the next month. Any opinions would be much appreciated. Thanks a bunch!!


The one I'm looking at is the entry level one:

They all use SiS chipsets…I would think for the price they could at least give us a decent Intel board.

My bad, the P4's use SiS chipsets, those are 855 based.

Either way, you could get a lot more laptop in say a Dell 600M, one with an onsite warranty, a real video card and stuff. I am not advocating Dell specificlly, Toshiba GW and HP have some good products in that range as well. Or the ultimate…at the ultimate price, the IBM T40/T41.
