I have the following problems with two mobo's. The boards are AK31v2.0 and K7S5A pro and both are not posting. The AK31 i had noticed that the bios rom chip was partially pulled and with bend pins. The pins were straightened and the chip placed back in. Now i need to know if the chip was placed in backwards and with the bent pins if it still will post. As will both mobo's the cpu fan will spin and power light comes on but that's it. Here's a list of the cpu's i've tried:
athlon 1200
athlon 1400
athlon 1600
Presently the 1600 is now running on a KG7 board in a system bought from a thrift store and any cpu put on the board is just running at 1050ghz. Without reading thru a manual i still have from a used KG7 raid board that was bought, can someone help me with this and both mobo's not posting. Caps on the boards appear not swollen or linking. Just knowing if the boards are bad helps me throw out unneeded trash. Thanks to all in advance for any help and advice.
