My maintenance period expired a couple years ago and wanted a new license. Didn't want to pay full price either. Found an old promotional email that said 'Black2012'. So I tried 'Black2017' and it worked! 50% off!
Side note found out after the fact that the software is still suppose to work for the last version installed if your maintenance period expires. However it seems like on my system one day Aida64 refused to work saying the maintenance period expired. I personally do not like this business model. If they sell you a piece of software it should just work no mater if two years has expired or not!
