aero desktop, locked at 30fps?

i was wondering if there was a known tweak for setting that to 60fps, for example. just to get it at or above my monitor's refreshrate, i mean.

I know of no tweak off the top of my head.

What gives you the idea it's locked at 30?

Keeping it at 30 FPS likely means that your GPU can down clock properly which saves power.

Is there a benefit to 60 FPS desktop outside of simply know it's 60 FPS?

I just opened fraps up on mine and DWM is locked at my refresh rate (60) which is what i would have expected.
